FORMER ONDO SPEAKERS PAY CONDOLENCE VISIT TO FASORANTI FAMILY
Prominent Nigerians have continued to pay condolence visit to the Fasoranti family in the demise of the Patriarch of the dynasty, Pa Reuben Fasoranti.
The latest was the former presiding officers and leadership of the Ondo State House of Assembly who were at the Omolere residence of the Afenifere leader to identify with the family considering the leadership roles the late sage has played in the state, Nigeria and even the global stage.
The list included former Speakers, Rt. Hon. Ayo Agbomuserin; Rt. Hon, Kenneth S. Olawale; Rt. Hon. (Revd) Samuel Aderoboye, JP; Rt. Hon.(Prophet) Bamidele Oleyeloogun and Rt. Hon. Malachi Corker.
The former lawmakers described the late Afenifere leader as a yardstick to measure diligence, hard work, contentment, morality and statesmanship.
They stated that Pa Reuben Fasoranti has laid a solid foundation for political maturity which they acknowledged would continue to be a guiding compass as they forge ahead as politicians and community leaders.
While noting that the Afenifere leader lived a fulfilled life, the former lawmakers assured that they are prepared to continue from where Baba stopped.
They used the opportunity to urged the family, especially the Secretary to Ondo State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti to keep the flag flying assuring that the state legislative arm would keep playing its part in ensuring good governance in the state.
In his response, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti said the degree of accolades received from far and near since the demise of his father was a great encouragement not to mourn but to give thanks to God for a life that was not only impactful but also a source of encouragement for serving and upcoming politicians generations.
Dr. Fasoranti commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for putting in place a formidable committee to ensure that Pa. Fasoranti gets a befitting home-going.
