The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Ondo State, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, has cautioned holders of public office against the illusion of invincibility that often comes with power and wealth.

In a reflective statement posted on his social media platform, Adeniyan reminded public servants that every position, no matter how exalted, is transient.

According to him, "Public office is not a family inheritance. Even 'Permanent Secretaries' know that the position is not permanent."

He noted that whatever power an individual exercises today by virtue of fortune and opportunity will inevitably fade, adding that in a few years, such names may not even be remembered.

"Power and money can create an illusion of invincibility, but no matter how long it lasts, that seat you think puts you on top of the world, you will one day vacate," he stated.

The Governor's spokesman urged those in authority to choose grace over vendetta and joy over hate, stressing that cruelty is energy sapping while kindness costs nothing.

"Spread joy, not hate; spread grace, not vendetta. Cruelty demands too much energy. Kindness costs nothing," Adeniyan concluded.

His message has been widely described as a timely reminder on humility, service, and the ephemeral nature of political power.
