Hon. Tomisin Edu Falade has congratulated the people of Akure on the flag-off of the Akure flyover, describing the project as a bold and historic intervention capable of giving the Ondo State capital a new identity.

Tomisin, while applauding Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for initiating the project, said the flyover was a clear demonstration of the administration’s commitment to transforming Akure into a modern and functional state capital.
She described the project as more than an infrastructure development, saying its impact would be felt in traffic management, urban aesthetics and the overall economic development of the city.
“I warmly congratulate the good people of Akure on this landmark project. This flyover is not just about easing traffic; it will change the beauty of Akure and give our city a fresh, modern and beautiful appearance.”
According to Tomisin, the location of the project in the heart of Akure makes it particularly significant, as thousands of residents, visitors and businesses will benefit from improved mobility when it is completed.
She commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for demonstrating the political will to undertake a project of such magnitude, describing it as an investment in the future of Akure.
“Governor Aiyedatiwa deserves commendation for having the courage to take on a project that will redefine the face of our capital city. This is the kind of legacy infrastructure that future generations will appreciate,” she said.
Tomisin urged Akure residents to continue supporting the administration and to exercise patience throughout the construction period, stressing that temporary inconveniences would ultimately give way to lasting benefits.
She expressed confidence that the flyover, when completed, would become one of Akure’s major landmarks and further enhance the status of the city as a rapidly developing urban centre.
“Akure is entering another phase of transformation. With projects like this, our city is gradually taking the shape of the modern capital we all desire,” Tomisin added.
She therefore congratulated Governor Aiyedatiwa, the people of Akure and the entire people of Ondo State, describing the flyover flag-off as “a new chapter in the development story of Akure.”
