Akoko Leaders Commend Aiyedatiwa’s Appointments, Urge Completion of Key Road Projects

Political leaders in Akokoland have described Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s recent political appointments as timely, appropriate and commendable, saying they reflect a commitment to inclusive governance and effective service delivery across Ondo State.

In a separate report Chief Ladi Bello of Akunu and Marshall Ojuolape of Ikare-Akoko called on the new appointees to justify the confidence reposed in them by delivering impactful results that will advance the development of the state.

“The appointments are part of the governor’s deliberate efforts to strengthen governance and bring government closer to the people. We believe they will enhance effective administration and deepen democratic dividends across Ondo State,” the leaders stated.

However, the Akoko leaders also used the opportunity to appeal to Governor Aiyedatiwa to prioritize the completion of critical road projects in the region.

They specifically listed the Akungba-Ikare Road, the Ikado–Federal Technical College Road, and the Agbaluku-Arigidi–Imo Arigidi Road as projects that require urgent attention.

According to them, completing these roads and addressing other infrastructural gaps in Akokoland will significantly boost socio-economic activities, facilitate trade, and improve the movement of people and goods within the region and beyond.

“We commend the governor’s vision, but we also urge him to match it with accelerated infrastructure delivery in Akokoland. Better roads will unlock the economic potential of this region,” they added.
