An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Ondo State, Hon. Adu Olufunso Adenireti, has commended Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for what he described as the administration’s remarkable strides in infrastructure and road development across the state.

Adu, while speaking in an exclusive interview on the developmental projects of the administration, particularly praised the governor for his renewed attention to road construction, describing the projects as visible evidence of a government committed to opening up communities and improving economic activities.
He singled out the Akure Municipal Bridge, describing it as a landmark project capable of transforming transportation and easing movement within the state capital.
The APC chieftain also highlighted the ongoing dual carriage road project linking Akungba-Akoko and Ikare-Akoko, noting that the project would significantly improve connectivity between the two major communities and boost commercial activities in the area.
Adu, who hails from Ijare in Ifedore Local Government Area, expressed particular excitement over the ongoing construction of the road leading to Ijare, which he said had been abandoned for many years.
According to him, the return of construction activities on the road has rekindled hope among residents who had endured the consequences of its neglect for years.
He said the Ijare road was more than just a construction project, stressing that it represented a long-awaited connection between the people and opportunities in other parts of the state.
Adu further commended the governor for embarking on several other road and infrastructure projects across Ondo State, saying that the spread of projects beyond Akure demonstrated an administration that was conscious of the developmental needs of different communities.
He urged the people of Ondo State to continue to support the Aiyedatiwa administration, saying that meaningful development should be measured not only by political promises but by projects that people can see, use and benefit from.
The APC chieftain noted that roads remain critical to economic development, arguing that good roads reduce travel time, facilitate the movement of agricultural produce, encourage investment and connect rural communities to urban centres.
He therefore described Governor Aiyedatiwa’s infrastructure drive as a “new chapter in Ondo’s development story,” urging the administration to sustain the momentum and ensure the completion of ongoing projects.
Adu said the people of Ijare, Akungba, Ikare, Akure and other communities benefiting from the projects have reasons to be optimistic about the future.
He added that with the number of projects currently ongoing across the state, Aiyedatiwa is gradually turning promises into physical realities.
