Midnight Attack Rocks Ondo as Gunmen Abduct Pastor’s 9-Year-Old Son

Residents of Igbosi Community along Imeri Road in Idogun, Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, were thrown into panic in the early hours of Friday following an attack by suspected gunmen who reportedly destroyed two buildings and abducted a 9-year-old boy.

The kidnapped child, identified as Oluwatobi, is said to be the son of a pastor in the community.

According to information gathered by our correspondent, the incident occurred at about 1:00 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026, when the assailants stormed the community, causing fear and confusion among residents.

Some residents, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the attack forced many people to flee their homes and seek safety in nearby areas.

As of the time of filing this report, local vigilante groups and operatives of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, codenamed Amotekun Corps, had launched a search operation and were combing nearby forests in an effort to rescue the victim and apprehend the perpetrators.
