Akoko, Ondo State – Hon. Olanusi Olaniran, has emerged as the official candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for Akoko South West Constituency II following the party’s primary election held today.
The outcome of the primaries reflects the will of Akoko South West APC and party faithful across the constituency who expressed confidence in Hon. Olanusi’s track record of service, accessibility, and commitment to grassroots development.
In his acceptance statement, Hon. Olanusi thanked party leaders, delegates, and members for the overwhelming support and described the victory as a call to greater responsibility.
“I am deeply humbled by the trust reposed in me by the APC family in Akoko South West Constituency II,” he said. “This mandate is not for me alone. It belongs to every market woman in Oka, every farmer in Supare, every youth in Akungba, and every family yearning for a better representation. I pledge to carry this responsibility with humility, transparency, and a relentless focus on delivering results.”
Hon. Olanusi reaffirmed his campaign slogan of (#IseOluwa) with “The Right Choice, Ready to Serve, Real Leadership Spirit,” noting that his priority will be to bring effective legislation, infrastructure development, youth empowerment, and improved access to education and healthcare to the constituency.
He also called on fellow aspirants and party stakeholders to unite behind the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“Now that the primaries are over, the work ahead requires unity. I extend a hand of fellowship to all. Together, we can strengthen our party and ensure that Akoko South West Constituency II gets the representation it deserves at the Ondo State House of Assembly,” he added.
The APC in Ondo State has commended the peaceful conduct of the primaries and urged all candidates to uphold party discipline and cohesion in the interest of victory at the polls for APC at the local, state and national levels in the 2027 elections.
Hon. Olanusi said he will, in the coming days, embark on a thank-you tour across wards in Akoko South West Constituency II, to consolidate support and engage directly with the people on their priority needs.
