Former Ondo Women Affairs Commissioner Dies in Lagos

Former Commissioner for Women Affairs in Ondo State under the administration of former Governor Olusegun Mimiko, Mrs. Sinmi Odumbaku, is dead.

She reportedly passed away at her residence in Lagos after a brief illness, according to family sources. Her death has thrown family members, political associates, and well-wishers into mourning.

The late Mrs. Odumbaku, a native of Akunu Akoko in Akoko North-East Local Government Area of Ondo State, was widely known for her contributions to women development and social welfare during her time in the Ondo State Executive Council under the Mimiko administration.

She was also known in political circles as the wife of prominent Lagos APC leader, Apostle Odumbaku.

During her tenure as Commissioner for Women Affairs, she was said to have played a notable role in championing issues relating to women empowerment, child welfare, and family support programmes in Ondo State.

Her death has been described by associates as a painful loss, not only to her family but also to the political and social community in Ondo State and Lagos State.
