House of Representatives hopeful for Akure North/South Federal Constituency, Barr. Balarabe Abiodun Akinwunmi (ADC), has joined eminent Nigerians, traditional rulers, political leaders and admirers across the globe in celebrating elder statesman and Afenifere leader, Reuben Fasoranti, as he marks his centenary birthday.
In a captivating goodwill message released to commemorate the remarkable milestone, Barr. Akinwunmi described the nonagenarian nationalist as “a timeless moral compass whose life of sacrifice, patriotism and unwavering commitment to justice has continued to inspire generations of Nigerians.”
According to him, attaining the age of 100 is not merely a celebration of longevity, but a rare testament to a life devoted to service, honour, discipline and the advancement of the Yoruba nation and Nigeria at large.
“Pa Fasoranti represents a generation of leaders whose words carried weight because their lives reflected truth, integrity and selfless service. At 100, Baba remains a towering symbol of wisdom, courage and progressive ideals,” he stated.
Barr. Akinwunmi further praised the elder statesman for his steadfast role in sustaining democratic values, protecting the interests of the South West and championing national unity through equity and justice.
He noted that Pa Fasoranti’s contributions to education, leadership development and socio-political advocacy have left indelible footprints in the sands of Nigeria’s history, describing him as “one of the last standing pillars of principled leadership in contemporary Nigeria.”
The ADC chieftain also commended the elder statesman’s resilience through difficult national moments, saying his calm voice and fatherly counsel have remained a source of direction for leaders and citizens alike.
