The 2027 election campaign season has officially entered a new phase, following the lifting of the ban by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on public campaigns for the Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections.
The development marks the commencement of nationwide campaign activities for the two categories of elections, in line with the Commission’s 2027 General Election timetable. Campaigns for the Presidential and National Assembly elections had earlier commenced on August 19.
In Ondo State, the All Progressives Congress (APC) is set to take its campaign message to the grassroots, with Hon. Niran Olanusi #IseOluwa, the party’s candidate for Akoko Southwest Constituency II in the Ondo State House of Assembly, leading the charge in his constituency.
The commencement of the campaign has been described by the APC campaign team as an opportunity to engage directly with the people of Akoko Southwest II, present the party’s agenda and consolidate support ahead of the 2027 elections.
The campaign council of Hon. Olanusi has called on APC members, supporters and eligible voters across the constituency to rally behind Hon. Niran Olanusi #IseOluwa, whom it described as a grassroots politician with a strong commitment to youth empowerment, constituency development and effective legislative representation.
According to the council, the constituency requires purposeful representation capable of translating the aspirations of its people into tangible legislative action and development.
“Akoko Southwest II must speak with one voice. We are calling on our people to stand firmly with the APC and support Hon. Niran Olanusi #IseOluwa. His mandate represents progress, continuity, youth inclusion and quality representation for our constituency.”
The campaign council further urged APC supporters to remain united, mobilised and focused throughout the campaign season, stressing the importance of delivering the party’s candidates across the ballot.
The mandate is clear: Deliver APC, Deliver Renewed Hope, and Deliver Hon. Niran Olanusi #IseOluwa.
