Otunba Lai Oriowo, Group Director, Odu’a Investment Company Limited, has congratulated His Excellency, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, on his victory in the August 15, 2026 Osun State Governorship Election.
In a congratulatory message, Oriowo described Adeleke’s victory as a strong reaffirmation of the confidence reposed in his leadership by the people of Osun State.
Adeleke secured 511,067 votes and won in 19 of the state’s 30 Local Government Areas, emerging victorious in the keenly contested election.
According to Otunba Oriowo, the result represents not only a renewed mandate, but also an endorsement of the governor’s grassroots engagement, perseverance and connection with the people.
He noted that the renewed mandate comes with an even greater responsibility to consolidate the existing achievements, address areas requiring further attention and raise the standard of governance and development across the state.
“This renewed mandate comes with an even greater responsibility. It is an opportunity to consolidate the gains of your first term, address areas requiring greater attention and set a higher standard for governance and development across the state,” Oriowo said.
He expressed confidence that Adeleke’s administration would continue to prioritize economic development, infrastructure, human capital development, youth empowerment, investment promotion, job creation and the welfare of the people.
Otunba Oriowo further highlighted Osun’s considerable human, cultural and economic potential, stressing that visionary leadership, stronger public-private partnerships and deliberate investment strategies could unlock new opportunities and position the state as a more competitive destination for business and development.
He also commended the candidates and political parties that participated in the election, as well as the electoral authorities, security agencies, observers, media and citizens whose participation contributed to the democratic process.
While acknowledging that elections naturally produce different political preferences, Otunba Oriowo urged all stakeholders to move beyond partisan divisions and unite around the shared objective of building a peaceful, prosperous and progressive Osun State.
As Adeleke prepares for another term, Otunba Oriowo wished him wisdom, courage, good health and divine guidance, expressing hope that the renewed mandate would usher in greater prosperity, inclusive development, peace and sustainable progress for the people of Osun State at home and abroad.
He concluded that “The people have spoken, the mandate has been renewed and the work continues.”
Oriowo also wished Osun State continued growth and prosperity, urging that the state’s enormous potential be harnessed for the benefit of the present and the future generations.
