The Group Director of O’dua Investment Company Limited, Otunba Lai Oriowo, has cast his vote at his polling unit in Ilesa West Local Government Area of Osun State, as voting commenced in the Osun State Governorship Election.

Speaking shortly after exercising his franchise, Otunba Oriowo described voting as “a sacred trust and a direct expression of the will of the people.”
He said the election was not merely about choosing a governor, but about determining the future direction of the state and preserving the democratic values of the people.
“This vote is not just about electing a governor, it is about securing the future of Osun, protecting the ideals of our forefathers, and sustaining the democratic legacy of the Yoruba nation.
“As a son of Oduduwa and as a stakeholder in the economic development of our region, I believe that only purposeful, accountable and visionary leadership can unlock prosperity, create jobs for our youths, and give our children the future they deserve.”
The O’dua Board Guru, urged voters across the state to remain peaceful, exercise their civic responsibility conscientiously and protect the integrity of their votes, He said:
“Let us choose capacity over connection, integrity over propaganda, and vision over division. The ballot is our voice, let us use it well.”
Otunba Oriowo also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies to maintain the highest standards of transparency, fairness and professionalism throughout the electoral process.
According to him, the credibility of the election depends on ensuring that the final outcome genuinely reflects the choice of the people.
“May God Almighty direct the people of Osun to make the right decision and may the government that emerges serve with the fear of God, unity of purpose, and commitment to the common good.”
He concluded with a message of the cultural responsibility and collective duty of: “Omo Yoruba, Iṣẹ́ wa ni, fun itesiwaju Ipinle Osun.”
The Osun State Governorship election voting exercise, has been reportedly impressive, going by the early turnouts of the electorates, as against the reports of mixed feelings, that earlier greeted the electioneering campaign periods.
