The Lion of Bourdillon Waves (LBW) has called on all sons and daughters of Ondo State, as well as residents across the state and members of the diaspora, to begin massive grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 general elections, urging every progressive-minded citizen to remain steadfast in supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC) in order to consolidate the gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
The movement stated that the 2027 elections present another defining opportunity for Nigerians to deepen ongoing reforms, strengthen democratic institutions and sustain the momentum of national development through continuity in progressive governance.
In a statement issued by its Convener, Engr. Daniel Oke, LBW expressed profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unwavering commitment to inclusive governance, national development and the confidence reposed in Ondo State through strategic appointments into the Federal Executive Council.
The movement also paid glowing tribute to the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa (“Our Ease”), applauding his purposeful leadership, commitment to infrastructure development, security, economic growth, youth empowerment and people-oriented governance, which continue to earn the confidence of the people of the Sunshine State.
The group specifically commended the President for appointing Hon. (Dr.) Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo as Minister of Interior, Hon. Ayodele Olawande as Minister of State for Youth Development, and Prof. Taiwo Oyedele as the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy. LBW described these appointments as evidence of President Tinubu’s determination to assemble competent and visionary leaders capable of driving Nigeria’s economic transformation and institutional reforms.
LBW equally commended the Ondo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Kolawole Babatunde “Ameachi”, for providing stable leadership, strengthening party unity and successfully coordinating a transparent process that has produced credible candidates for the forthcoming National Assembly and Ondo State House of Assembly elections.
The movement congratulated all candidates of the APC whose names have been officially released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to fly the party’s flag in the 2027 elections, expressing confidence that they possess the competence, experience and commitment required to provide effective representation and quality leadership.
LBW extended its congratulations to all APC candidates contesting for the Senate, House of Representatives and the Ondo State House of Assembly across every senatorial district, federal constituency and state constituency in Ondo State, urging them to embrace issue-based campaigns, maintain close engagement with the electorate and remain worthy ambassadors of the progressive family.
According to the movement, the journey towards electoral victory has already begun, stressing that the real task now lies in sustained grassroots mobilization, voter education, political engagement and effective communication of the achievements of the Tinubu administration at the federal level and the Aiyedatiwa administration in Ondo State, alongside the visible performance of Ondo’s ministerial team and the APC’s progressive ideology.
LBW therefore called on party leaders, youths, women, professionals, artisans, market associations, traditional institutions, religious bodies, students and community development groups to work collectively in promoting peaceful campaigns and encouraging eligible voters to obtain and safeguard their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the elections.
The movement further urged Ondo indigenes living abroad to actively support the democratic process by mobilizing their families, friends and communities back home, investing in voter awareness initiatives and contributing to campaigns that will guarantee overwhelming victories for the APC across all elective positions.
Engr. Daniel Oke noted that the Renewed Hope Agenda is already laying the foundation for a stronger economy, improved security, enhanced infrastructure, fiscal reforms, youth development and greater opportunities for Nigerians, adding that continuity remains essential to fully realizing these long-term objectives.
He emphasized that the future of Ondo State and Nigeria requires collective responsibility, unity of purpose and active participation by every progressive citizen.
“The responsibility before us is enormous, but so is the opportunity. We therefore call on every son and daughter of Ondo State, every resident, every supporter of progressive ideals and every member of the diaspora to rise with one voice and one purpose.
“This is the time to organize, mobilize, educate, canvass support and strengthen our structures from the polling units to the wards, local governments and across the three senatorial districts.
“Let us remain united behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, our distinguished ministers, the leadership of our great party and every APC candidate. Together, we can secure overwhelming victories across the Presidency, the National Assembly and the Ondo State House of Assembly while contributing meaningfully to a stronger, safer and more prosperous Nigeria.”
