ONDO CPS TURNS BACK THE HANDS OF TIME, WEARS OLD SCHOOL UNIFORM TO HONOUR LATE PRINCIPAL

The Chief Press Secretary to the Ondo State Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, on Thursday returned to his alma mater, CAC Adu Memorial High School, Akure, in his old school uniform to honour his late Principal, Pastor Joseph Adelola Fayape, as the deceased funeral activities commenced with a lying-in-state ceremony.

The emotional return offered a nostalgic reminder of the important role the late educationist played in shaping the lives and destinies of generations of students who passed through the institution.

Adeniyan, who served as Janitor Prefect during his school days, described the occasion as a special moment, particularly as he stood behind his 1995 Senior Prefect Girl, Magistrate Elizabeth Omosebi, who delivered the final words in honour of their departed Principal.

The ceremony brought together old students who reunited to celebrate the life, legacy and contributions of a man whose influence extended beyond the classroom.

Adeniyan expressed appreciation to all alumni who turned up to honour their former Principal, with special recognition for his senior and brother, Engr. Leye Akinola, Ondo State Commissioner for Agriculture and Forestry.

He particularly commended the 1994 set for laying the foundation of a new administrative block within the school, describing the gesture as a meaningful contribution towards the development of their alma mater.

The gathering once again demonstrated the enduring bond between Adu Memorial High School and its former students, many of whom have gone on to distinguish themselves in different fields of endeavour.

For Adeniyan, returning in his old school uniform was more than a tribute; it was a symbolic homecoming and an opportunity to acknowledge the institution and individuals who contributed to his journey.

Though Pastor Fayape has departed, his legacy lives on through the countless lives he influenced and the enduring values he instilled in his students.
