President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Monday, held a closed-door meeting with six governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The governors in attendance were Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa (Ondo), Ahmad Aliyu (Sokoto), Umar Namadi (Jigawa), Nasir Idris (Kebbi), Usman Ododo (Kogi), and Monday Okpebholo (Edo).
The hour-long meeting, which commenced at 4pm, was focused on key national concerns including the rising demand for state policing, improvements in the country’s security architecture, food security, agricultural mechanisation, and the impact of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RNI) across the states.
Although no official statement was released after the meeting, sources suggest that the discussions are part of a wider series of consultations on national cohesion, ahead of critical APC engagements and future governance reforms.
The meeting further signals the growing urgency among party leaders to address pressing issues affecting the country, especially insecurity and economic hardship.
