A socio-political group, Ondo Solidarity Forum (OSF), has congratulated the newly appointed Minister of Finance, Prof. Taiwo Oyedele, describing his appointment as well deserved and a recognition of merit.
The group gave the commendation after its monthly meeting held in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
Speaking on behalf of the forum, the Secretary, Prince Obadofin Ademola, said members of the group expressed confidence in the ability of the new minister to deliver effectively in his new role.
According to him, Prof. Oyedele’s appointment did not come as a surprise considering his track record, competence and commitment to national development.
“We wish to heartily congratulate Prof. Taiwo Oyedele on his well deserved appointment as the Minister of Finance. This recognition is clearly based on merit and his proven capacity over the years,” Ademola said.
He noted that the forum offered prayers for the success of the minister in office and urged him to remain focused on the task ahead.
The group further enjoined the minister to work without distraction in order to justify the confidence reposed in him by the federal government and Nigerians at large.
“We prayed for his success and urged him to remain committed and work without distraction. We believe he has the experience and competence required to contribute meaningfully to the economic growth and stability of the country,” he added.
The forum also used the opportunity to commend the good works of the Governor of Ondo State, noting that the administration has continued to make positive impact in the development of the state.
Members of the group expressed optimism that with committed leadership at both the state and federal levels, the country would continue to witness meaningful progress.
