The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Ondo State, Mr. Ebenezer Adeniyan, has continued his monthly support initiative for media organisations in the state with the donation of essential items to two major media establishments in Akure.
During the visit, Mr. Adeniyan donated an air conditioner to the Programmes Department of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria Positive FM, Akure, to enhance the working environment and operational efficiency of the department.
In a similar gesture, he presented a television set and a refrigerator to the newsroom of Owena Press Limited, publishers of The Hope Newspaper, as part of efforts to support journalists and strengthen media practice in the state.
Speaking during the presentation, Adeniyan noted that the initiative is aimed at encouraging media professionals and improving workplace conditions within media organisations that play vital roles in informing the public and promoting democratic governance.
The Chief Press Secretary also attended the retirement ceremony of a senior journalist, Mr. Bisi Olominu, held at Owena Press Limited in Akure. He commended the veteran journalist for his years of dedication and service to the profession, describing his career as exemplary and impactful in the development of journalism in Ondo State.
Adeniyan reiterated his commitment to sustaining the monthly support programme as a way of appreciating the media’s contributions to governance and societal development.
