Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has been named head of youth mobilisation for the Accord Party’s campaign council in Osun state, a strategic move aimed at galvanising young voters ahead of the August 2026 gubernatorial election.
Davido made the announcement on his X account, stating that he was appointed by his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, who is seeking re-election under the Accord Party banner.
The appointment comes as Governor Adeleke, who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) late last year, positions the Accord Party as his platform for a second term.
