The National Convener of the Lion of Bourdillon Waves (LBW), Engr. Daniel Oke, has hosted the leadership of Akure Youths 4 BTO and members of Ward 3 in Akure, Ondo State, at a meeting focused on grassroots political mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting, held at the LBW domain in Akure, brought together members of both groups, ward level organisers, APC members and other political stakeholders to discuss strategies for grassroots engagement and youth participation in the forthcoming electoral cycle.
The gathering attracted a large turnout of supporters and members, reflecting the groups’ efforts to strengthen collaboration and coordinate their activities ahead of the elections.
Engr. Oke received the delegation alongside members of the LBW National Executive Council, ward executives and other group leaders. The Akure Youths 4 BTO delegation was led by the secretary, Apostle. A. Feyisara and Hon. Oluwole Adu among others, who represented the group’s leader, Alhaji Adekunle Saliu.
In his address, Engr. Oke commended Akure Youths 4 BTO for its organisational activities and support for the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, popularly known as BTO.
He called on members of the groups, sub-groups and other APC supporters to intensify grassroots mobilization and engagement in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the party’s candidates across elective positions in the 2027 general elections.
According to him, sustained engagement with residents at the community level would be central to the groups’ mobilisation strategy.
“The era of armchair politics is over, we must engage the people directly, from door to door, house to house, street to street and ward to ward. Every member must understand the importance of grassroots engagement and be prepared to communicate our political message responsibly,” Oke said.
He described the engagement between LBW and Akure Youths 4 BTO as an opportunity to improve coordination among grassroots political structures, stressing that young people should have a meaningful role in political participation and community engagement.

Oke also linked the groups’ activities to the leadership approach associated with Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, noting that youth participation and grassroots organisation should remain important considerations in political mobilisation.
Responding on behalf of Akure Youths 4 BTO, Apostle Feyisara and Hon. Adu praised Oke’s organisational efforts and acknowledged the role of LBW in providing a platform for grassroots political engagement.
He said the group remained committed to working with like minded political stakeholders in Akure to coordinate its activities and support the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
The interactive session featured discussions on ward-to-ward coordination, community outreach, youth participation and communicating the policies and activities of the Tinubu administration to residents at the grassroots.
Participants also considered ways to strengthen cooperation between the two groups and improve communication among their respective structures.
At the conclusion of the meeting, participants expressed support for President Tinubu, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and other public officials from Ondo State. They also reaffirmed their stated commitment to mobilising support for APC candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
The meeting represents another engagement by LBW and Akure Youths 4 BTO as the groups work to consolidate their organisational structures and define their grassroots activities ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle, as different cell groups were further created for effective campaigning and participation of the locals.
For the Lion of Bourdillon Waves, the emphasis remains on strengthening political coordination, expanding community level engagement and encouraging active youth participation in the electoral process.
