Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has paid glowing tribute to his late predecessor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN, CON, on what would have been his 70th birthday.
In a commemorative message marking the late former governor’s 70th posthumous birthday anniversary, Aiyedatiwa described Akeredolu as a courageous, principled and visionary leader whose legacy continues to inspire the people of Ondo State and Nigerians at large.
The governor said Akeredolu dedicated his life to justice, good governance and the service of humanity, noting that his unwavering commitment to the progress of Ondo State remains a guiding light for the present administration.
Aiyedatiwa also reflected on the privilege of serving alongside the late governor, expressing gratitude for the confidence Akeredolu reposed in him and the invaluable leadership lessons he gained during their time in office.
Reaffirming his commitment to sustaining the vision and developmental foundation laid by his predecessor, the governor pledged to continue working towards building a safer, stronger and more prosperous Ondo State for the benefit of all residents.
He prayed for the peaceful repose of Akeredolu’s soul and for God’s continued comfort for his family and all those who cherish his memory.
The governor concluded by affirming that the late Akeredolu’s legacy of courageous leadership and dedicated public service will continue to endure in the annals of Ondo State’s history.
