DEMOCRACY DAY: HON. NIRAN OLANUSI SALUTES JUNE 12 HEROES, GOV. LUCKY AIYEDATIWA’S LEADERSHIP, FELICITATES AKOKO SOUTH WEST II CONSTITUENTS

As Nigeria marks another Democracy Day, APC candidate for Akoko South West II Constituency, Hon. Niran Olanusi, has paid tribute to the heroes of June 12, 1993 while commending Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his visionary leadership in Ondo State.

In a brief statement, Olanusi honoured the sacrifices of Nigerians who fought for democracy, with special recognition for Chief MKO Abiola, whose mandate and courage remain the symbol of our democratic journey.

“June 12 reminds us that democracy thrives on sacrifice and perseverance. I congratulate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his role in that struggle and for driving the Renewed Hope Agenda today,” he said.

Olanusi noted that 27 years of unbroken democracy proves Nigeria’s resilience. He praised Governor Aiyedatiwa for translating that democratic spirit into real development across Ondo State.

“Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has shown what purposeful leadership looks like. His commitment to infrastructure, youth empowerment, agriculture, healthcare and security is rebuilding confidence in governance. Ondo people are seeing results, and Akoko South West II is not left behind,” Olanusi stated.

“I congratulate Mr. President and our performing Governor, His Excellency Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, on this historic day. To my people in Akoko South West II, let us keep supporting leaders who deliver. Together, we will attract more development and secure a brighter future for our constituency,” he added.

He called on all Nigerians to uphold democratic values and remain committed to building a peaceful, secure and prosperous nation.
