AKURE AGOG AS HON. TOMISIN EDU FALADE, GOV AYEDATIWA STORM CITY ON THANK YOU TOUR

It was a carnival-like atmosphere in Akure, the Ondo State capital, on Tuesday as Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa embarked on a “thank you tour” across the city.

The visit, part of his statewide appreciation tour, drew a massive crowd of supporters, stakeholders, and community leaders, but the highpoint for many was the electrifying arrival of Hon. Tomisin Edu Falade.

The moment Hon. Tomisin stepped into the venue, the entire place went agog, with chants, cheers, and warm applause echoing through the streets. Residents, particularly women and youths, waved banners and sang praises, celebrating her as a true daughter of the soil and a rising political star in the state.

Earlier in the day, Hon. Tomisin had met with her media team in a closed-door strategy session, where she commended their efforts in projecting the vision and progress of the current administration. She charged them to remain focused as the political season draws closer.

The “thank you tour” itself was a show of gratitude by Governor Aiyedatiwa to the people of Akure for their continuous support. The governor was received with enthusiasm and traditional fanfare, with various groups pledging their loyalty to his leadership.

In her remarks, Hon. Tomisin used the occasion to commend Governor Aiyedatiwa for his developmental strides and for appointing capable hands into key positions in the state. She noted that the governor’s inclusive leadership style has brought renewed unity and energy to Ondo politics.

The event also featured cultural displays, goodwill messages, and community presentations. Residents described the governor’s visit as timely and reassuring, especially in the face of ongoing efforts to reposition Ondo for growth and prosperity.
