The Ishakunmi Development Group, on Wednesday, rolled out the drums in honour of Senator Olajide Ipinsagba at a well attended “Thank You and Request Ceremony,” celebrating his developmental strides in the community.

The colourful event drew hundreds of residents, traditional leaders, and political stakeholders.
The gathering served not only as a show of appreciation but also as a reaffirmation of support ahead of the 2027 elections.
Representing the youth, Hon. Abdul (Sanziro), Youth Leader of Ikare Akoko, lauded Senator Ipinsagba’s grassroots impact, including the construction of additional classrooms at AUD School V and the installation of solar-powered streetlights, which have significantly improved security and education in the area. He appealed for further interventions, especially on youth employment, road rehabilitation, and power infrastructure.
Chief Oluke, another prominent community voice, offered prayers for the Senator’s political journey and urged the inclusion of widows and young people in future empowerment programmes.
Rt. Hon. Olotu Fatai (Orege) echoed the community’s appreciation and praised the Senator’s achievements. He reassured the crowd that all concerns raised would reach the Senator’s desk.
Hon. Lai Yusuf, Chief of Staff to Senator Ipinsagba, thanked the people for their warmth and pledged that the Senator remains committed to sustained development. He promised that the Senator would soon unveil more projects tailored to Ishakunmi’s needs.
Chief Oniyofen also lent his voice, commending both the Senator and the organisers, praying for unity and progress in the community.
The festive atmosphere was concluded with traditional music, cultural displays, and cheers, reflected the strong bond between the Senator and his constituents, and a community united in hope for more progress.
