Ondo Solidarity Frontier Slams Fadairo’s Endorsement, Condemns Self-Styled Akure APC Leaders

The Ondo Solidarity Frontier has condemned the actions of a group of individuals parading themselves as leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akure, describing their recent communiqué and endorsement of one Fadairo Oluwafemi as an attempt to create division and tension within the state capital.

In a statement issued on Sunday by its Media Director, Tolulope Adesina, the group accused the self-acclaimed leaders of pursuing a retrogressive agenda that does not reflect the interest of genuine stakeholders in Akure.

Adesina stated that many of those who signed the communiqué are not indigenes of Akure and lack meaningful ties to the community.

“Most of the names attached to that communique are not from Akure, and several of them do not even have ancestral homes here.Their intention is to cause disaffection and stir unnecessary tension,” he said.

The group maintained that any authentic list of APC leaders in Akure must include the elders’ forum led by Dr Akerele, stressing that its omission clearly shows the list is fake.

It also queried the absence of political appointees from Akure in the said document, describing it as further proof of its lack of credibility.

Ondo Solidarity Front dismissed the endorsement of Fadairo Oluwafemi, insisting that no leader of good reputation in Akure would support his ambition to represent the people in Abuja.

The endorsement only exposes the desperation of those behind it,” the statement noted.

The group further alleged that the aspirants being promoted by the faction are already “feeling jittery” due to their weak political standing, adding that their résumés are not politically marketable.

While condemning the development, the group commended the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for maintaining a level playing ground for all aspirants, describing his leadership as fair and inclusive.

The statement concluded with a call on Akure residents to disregard what it termed “divisive antics” and remain united in the interest of peace and political stability in the city.
