ONDO SOLIDARITY FORUM SLAMS GOVERNOR AIYEDATIWA’S AIDE OVER ALLEGED ASSAULT ON APC WARD CHAIRMAN

The Ondo Solidarity Forum (OSF) has condemned in strong terms the reported assault of an APC ward chairman in Akure South Local Government by Hon. Oluwafemi Fadario, a Senior Special Assistant to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Community Engagement.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident stemmed from a dispute over the allocation of party funds, which escalated into violence allegedly initiated by Hon. Fadario.

The forum described the act as “barbaric, undemocratic, and disgraceful,” especially coming from a government appointee.

In a statement signed by OSF Secretary, Ojo Tolulope, the group warned that such behavior contradicts the image of Governor Aiyedatiwa, who has so far conducted himself as a peace-loving and respectful leader. “Fadario’s conduct is not only embarrassing but paints the administration in bad light,” the statement read.

The forum further advised the Governor to conduct a thorough background check and mental health or drug screening on future appointees to avoid recruiting individuals with tendencies unfit for public service.

“It is disheartening to hear that someone who is eyeing a House of Representatives seat in Abuja would resort to physical assault over party matters,” the group said.

The OSF urged Hon. Fadario to issue an unreserved apology to the party leadership and the victim, warning him to refrain from such acts in the future.

“This government is focused on development, unity, and the delivery of good governance. Appointees must mirror these values, not stain them,” the group concluded.
