In a renewed show of organized civic engagement, the Lion of Bourdilon Waves (LBW), a sociopolitical movement comprising professionals and ideologically aligned citizens, has reaffirmed its steadfast support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, citing what it describes as “bold, necessary, and transformative strides” under his administration.

Positioning itself as more than a conventional support group, LBW describes its mission as a convergence of informed voices, committed to shaping national discourse and reinforcing policy direction through intellectual advocacy. The group emphasized that its backing of the President, is rooted not in blind allegiance, but in a critical appreciation of ongoing reforms aimed at repositioning Nigeria’s economic and governance architecture.
Speaking through its coordinators led by Engr. Daniel Oke, the movement highlighted key policy directions of the current administration, particularly in fiscal restructuring, infrastructural renewal, and economic stabilization, as an evidence of deliberate leadership in a challenging global and domestic climate.
Also speaking, the group’s secretary Hon. Rotimi Ekundayo said, such measures, though demanding in the short term, are laying the groundwork for a long term national prosperity.
The group further called on Nigerians across socio-political and economic divides, to adopt a more informed and constructive approach to national issues, urging citizens to engage policies with depth rather than sentiments. It maintained that sustainable progress requires both leadership courage and citizens understanding.
LBW also signaled its intention to expand its outreach through its growing network of like minded individuals and public enlightenment campaigns, policy dialogues, and strategic engagements, designed to bridge the gap between government actions and public perception.
As Nigeria navigates a complex reform phase, the emergence of movements like LBW underscores a growing trend of organized, policy focused civic participation, one that may shape the tone and substance of political engagement in the years ahead and to ensure that the country supports the President’s vision and values of making Nigeria a better place for all and sundry.
