Hon. Banjo Adesida, a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has congratulated the government and people of Ondo State as the state marks the 50th anniversary of its creation, describing the milestone as a moment of deep reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to progress.

In a goodwill message issued to commemorate the golden jubilee, Hon. Adesida praised the resilience, unity, and industrious spirit of the people of Ondo State, noting that the state has recorded significant strides in governance, education, infrastructure, and human capital development over the past five decades.
He specifically lauded the leadership of the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for what he described as purposeful and people-oriented governance, adding that the governor’s vision continues to place the state on a steady path of growth and stability.
“As Ondo State celebrates 50 years of existence, we must appreciate how far we have come and remain committed to building a greater future for coming generations. I congratulate Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the entire people of Ondo State on this historic achievement,” Adesida said.
The APC chieftain also used the occasion to call on the people of Akure to unite and rally behind Hon. Tomisin Edu Falade in her quest to contest for the seat of the House of Representatives.
According to him, Hon. Falade represents a new generation of leadership anchored on competence, integrity, and genuine service to the people.
Speaking glowingly about Hon. Tomisin Edu Falade, Adesida described her as a dynamic, focused, and people-driven politician who possesses a clear understanding of the needs of the constituency and the legislative capacity to effectively represent Akure at the National Assembly.
“Hon. Tomisin Edu Falade is a tested and trusted leader with the passion, intellect, and commitment required to give Akure quality representation. I urge our people to rally round her,support his ambition, and see her aspiration as a collective project for our future,” he stated.
Hon. Adesida expressed confidence that with the support of the people and the platform of the APC, Hon. Falade would bring effective representation, meaningful legislation, and sustainable development to the constituency.
He concluded by urging citizens of Ondo State to use the 50th anniversary celebration as a reminder of their shared heritage and responsibility to foster unity, peace, and progress across the state.
