Four Found Dead In Music Studio After Overnight Session

A tragic incident has occurred in Lagos after four individuals, including a gospel artiste, were found dead inside a music studio in the Ajah area of the state.

The deceased were identified as gospel singer Matthew Ogundele, Itunu Ogundele, Joseph Sanya, and a blogger, Matthew Awosanya, popularly known as JoesTv.

The victims were reportedly part of a crew invited to perform during a three-day birthday praise programme organised by a gospel artiste. Sources disclosed that the group had participated in the second day of the event and decided to spend the night in the studio after their performance.

It was gathered that the incident came to light on Wednesday morning when the studio owner returned to the facility and discovered that the door was locked from the inside. After several unsuccessful attempts to gain access, the door was forced open, revealing the four occupants lying motionless inside.

The Lagos State Police Command confirmed the incident, noting that officers who visited the scene did not observe any visible signs of violence on the bodies.

The remains of the deceased were evacuated to the Mainland Hospital in Yaba, where they were confirmed dead. The bodies have since been deposited at a mortuary for autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Police authorities said the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, for further investigation. Meanwhile, friends, family members, and associates of the victims have expressed shock over the incident and are calling for a thorough probe into the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
