……a call for National Reputation & Governance Failure

This ongoing crisis reflects poorly on governance and infrastructure planning and the indiscipline of residents and citizens of the nation. A major federal highway in such a dilapidated state, with minimal intervention, raises questions about priorities.
An unconfirmed report says a fallen truck, might be heavily responsible for the the gridlock being experienced by citizens plying this route, this Yuletide.
It is imperative for the Federal Government and relevant agencies to treat the Abuja–Lokoja gridlock as an emergency. Immediate palliative measures, better traffic control, and fast-tracked reconstruction of failed portions must be implemented. This isn’t just a road issue, it’s a national survival issue.
