An articulated truck filled with bags of grains has crashed into Adebowale market on Ondo road, Akure.
According to eyewitness accounts, the truck, coming from Adebowale community was trying to link up with the expressway when the driver lost control and crashed into the market.
The accident which occured around 3 o’clock in the afternoon led to the blockage of the road to commuters plying Adebowale road.
A trader at the market, Mrs Meimuna Sule in a chat with Positive FM thanked God that there was no casualty especially as there were little commercial activities at the market due to the Easter Monday celebration.
Some Police officers were on ground to prevent looting of the goods as effort were underway to evacuate contents of the truck
