Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akure have officially endorsed Hon. Tomisin Edu Falade as their preferred candidate for the House of Representatives seat, following a series of ward tours across the city by the aspirant.

The endorsement came after extensive engagements with party stakeholders and grassroots members in several wards, including Ward 8 and Ward 2, where Hon. Falade was warmly received by enthusiastic supporters and party loyalists.
According to party insiders, the decision was reached unanimously, with leaders citing her strong political connections and proximity to key centers of power at both the state and federal levels as a major advantage.
They expressed confidence that her influence and experience would translate into effective representation and tangible benefits for the people of Akure.
During the ward visits, a large crowd gathered to welcome the aspirant, signaling the growing support for her candidacy. Community members and party faithful reportedly pledged their loyalty, describing her as “the best option among others” in the race.
Anonymous speakers at the gatherings revealed that party elders had already briefed members on the direction of support, emphasizing that “all odds favor her” in the forthcoming contest.
They noted that the consensus among stakeholders reflects a strategic decision to rally behind a candidate with the capacity to deliver electoral victory and strengthen the party’s position.
Hon. Falade, while addressing supporters during the tours, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and reaffirmed her commitment to inclusive representation, grassroots development, and effective service delivery if elected.
The endorsement is expected to significantly shape the dynamics of the race, as APC members in Akure appear to be consolidating support around a single candidate ahead of the elections.
