APC Announces New Dates For National Caucus, NEC Meetings

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced revised dates for its National Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings, with both sessions now scheduled to hold at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

According to a notice issued by the National Secretary of the party, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, the National Caucus meeting will convene on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. prompt, while the NEC meeting is slated for Friday, December 19, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. prompt.

The notices, issued in line with Articles 12.5 and 12.3 of the APC Constitution, outline the statutory composition of each organ, which includes national officers, key government functionaries, legislative leaders, past and present elected officials, party elders, and other co-opted members as permitted by the Constitution.

The National Caucus, described as one of the party’s strategic advisory bodies, comprises top party officials such as the National Chairman, Deputy National Chairmen, National Secretary, National Legal Adviser, National Treasurer, National Woman Leader, National Youth Leader, National Leader of Persons Living with Disabilities, former Presidents and Vice Presidents who are members of the party, and governors, among others.

Similarly, the NEC the highest decision-making body after the National Convention brings together the National Working Committee, state chairmen, legislative leaders from both chambers of the National Assembly, serving and former governors, and representatives from each geopolitical zone.

The National Secretary emphasized that all members of both organs are expected to attend as the meetings will address critical party matters.
