The Akure South All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders Caucus on February 1, 2025, held a strategic meeting with Hon. Tomisin Edu Falade at the residence of Dr. S. B. Akerele, a former Commissioner for Natural Resources in Ondo State and Chairman of the caucus.

The meeting, described as crucial to the political direction of the party in Akure South, was attended by key members of the caucus, including Evangelist Ola Obasuyi, Secretary; Pastor Atibiola, Treasurer; and Elder Idowu Olorunsomo.
Other notable attendees were Chief Mrs. Ogungbade, Mrs. Tayo Fayoriju, Hon. Idowu Otetubi, Chief Ajayi, and several other party leaders and stakeholders.

The elders expressed delight at hosting Hon. Tomisin Edu Falade, describing her presence as encouraging and timely.
During the meeting, Hon. Falade formally informed the caucus of her aspiration to contest for the Akure South Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.

In response, the elders offered prayers for her success and pledged their total support toward the realization of her ambition.
They assured her of their commitment to mobilize party members and grassroots supporters across Akure South in her favor.
Hon. Tomisin Edu Falade, while appreciating the warm reception and endorsement, promised that if elected, she would bring governance closer to the grassroots and work to positively change the face of politics in Akure.

She emphasized inclusive leadership, people-oriented policies, and sustainable development as the core of her vision.
The meeting ended on a note of unity and renewed commitment, with the elders reaffirming their resolve to work tirelessly to ensure her electoral success.
