As Muslims across Nigeria and around the world mark the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, I, Bashorun Ifedayo Adams Adedipe, SAN, extends my profound felicitations to the faithful on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan, a sacred period defined by devotion, sacrifice, discipline, and a deep spiritual reawakening to the values that sustain both faith and the society.

Eid-el-Fitr, beyond its festivity, is a moment of solemn reflection, a moral compass reminding us of the enduring virtues of patience, compassion, self restraint, and generosity. These are not mere religious ideals; they are the very pillars upon which any just, progressive, and harmonious nation must stand.
At this critical point in our national history, Nigeria stands in need of these virtues more than ever. We are confronted by undeniable realities, economic strain, social pressures, and a growing demand for institutional integrity and inclusive governance. Yet, history teaches us, that the strength of a people, is best revealed in moments of adversity. This is one of such defining moments, for our nation.
The essence of Ramadan teaches that restraint refines character, sacrifice builds resilience, and faith sustains purpose even in uncertain times. These lessons must endure beyond the season, shaping our individual conduct and collective responsibility as citizens.
As an elder in the public space, I urge leaders at all levels, to rise to the weight of their responsibilities with sincerity, fairness, and accountability. Leadership must inspire trust, promote justice, and prioritise the welfare of the people above all.
Equally, citizens must remain committed to peace, lawful conduct, and constructive engagement in the affairs of our nation.
Nigeria’s progress lies in our ability, to bridge the divides, strengthen our institutions, and uphold the principles of unity, justice, and mutual respect. This is a shared duty, that transcends religion, ethnicity, and political inclination.
To our Muslim brothers and sisters, as you celebrate with gratitude and joy, may the Almighty God, accept your fasts, prayers, and sacrifices. May your homes be filled with peace, your hearts strengthened with purpose, and your lives enriched with grace.
May this Eid, inspire a deeper sense of responsibility in all of us, towards one another and towards the continued pursuit of a stable, just, and prosperous Nigeria.
Eid Mubarak.
