Adefisoye Releases Screening Report, Questions APC Disqualification

I Was Duly Screened and Cleared’ — Adefisoye Releases Screening Report, Questions APC Disqualification

Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye, popularly known as “Small Alhaji,” an aspirant for the Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency, has released what he described as the original and authentic report of the screening panel that assessed his candidacy ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election.

Adefisoye made the disclosure in a post on his Facebook page, stating that he had waited until now before making the report public.

According to him, he was screened by Panel A at Treasure Suites in Akure, and the report showed that he was duly screened and cleared to participate in the primary.

He expressed surprise that his name was later listed among aspirants who were allegedly not cleared on the day of the election by Felix Morka, despite the fact that he had obtained the screening report before the primary election.

Adefisoye alleged that the decision may have been influenced by individuals who, according to him, allegedly paid some members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) to raise issues against certain aspirants on Election Day.

He, however, acknowledged that such developments were part of the realities of political contests.

“I know politics is a game, and anything is fair in the game. It is all part of the game,” he stated.

The aspirant also commended the approach adopted by Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, during the screening of aspirants for the State House of Assembly elections, arguing that the governor allowed aspirants to test their popularity at the grassroots rather than being disqualified based solely on the screening process.

He cited the outcomes of the Akoko Northwest, Ikare and Ile-Oluji contests, where he said the eventual winners emerged from the field and were subsequently declared winners.

According to Adefisoye, such an approach represented a fairer way of conducting political contests, as it gave aspirants the opportunity to prove their popularity among the people.

He further insisted that there was no petition against him and that he was duly screened and cleared by the screening panel.

“Well, to all my supporters, you can read the full report here. There was no petition against me. I was duly screened and cleared, and this is the original and authentic report from Panel A,” he wrote.

The Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency aspirant also described politics as a marathon race and said he remained committed to the political journey despite the challenges he had encountered.

He added that the fact that he had not held any political appointment or been part of the political system for about three years, yet had allegedly become a major concern to some political actors, was an indication that his political influence was growing.

Adefisoye concluded by thanking his supporters and expressing optimism about his political future, while offering prayers for Ondo State and the Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency.

He signed off with the slogan: “VATA 2027.”
