The Lion of Bourdillon Waves LBW has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR and the All Progressives Congress, APC, for their strategic decision to retain the winning presidential ticket of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for the 2027 general election.
LBW describes the move as a bold demonstration of political wisdom, continuity, and commitment to national progress.
In a statement jointly signed by the National Convener, Engr. Daniel Oke and the National Secretary, Hon. Rotimi Ekundayo, the group noted that retaining the Tinubu/Shettima ticket is a clear signal that the APC is focused on consolidating the gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“Leadership is not about experiments. It is about building on tested capacity, unity of purpose, and results.
The Tinubu/Shettima administration has within a short time shown courage to take difficult but necessary decisions that are already repositioning Nigeria’s economy, strengthening our institutions, and restoring confidence in governance,” the statement read.
LBW further stated that President Tinubu’s bold economic reforms, infrastructural drive, and foreign policy re-engineering, coupled with Vice President Shettima’s loyalty, intellectual depth, and grassroots connection, have formed a formidable synergy that Nigerians cannot afford to disrupt.
“To change a winning team in the middle of a transformation is to risk the progress already recorded.
By retaining this ticket, the APC has told Nigerians and the international community that Nigeria is ready for stability, consistency, and long-term prosperity,” LBW added.
The group also applauded the APC National Leadership for listening to the voice of the people and resisting distractions. LBW noted that women, youths, and grassroots structures across the country are already mobilizing to ensure the Renewed Hope Agenda is sustained beyond 2027.
LBW therefore reaffirmed its total support for PBAT/SHETTIMA 2027 and pledged to lead nationwide sensitization, voter education, and mobilization to deliver victory for the party.
“Nigeria’s best days are ahead. With continuity, competence, and courage, the Renewed Hope Agenda will deliver the Nigeria of our dreams,” the statement concluded.
