The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Akoko Southwest II State Constituency, Hon. Niran Olanusi (#IseOluwa), has commended the Ondo State Governor, His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for what he described as a “strong and deliberate acceleration of development focused governance” across the state in recent weeks.

Hon. Olanusi (#IseOluwa) noted that the Governor’s recent policy direction reflects a renewed commitment to infrastructure expansion, institutional strengthening, and economic transformation capable of repositioning Ondo State for sustainable growth.
The Aiyedatiwa-led administration has continued to push forward critical infrastructure modernization projects, including the ongoing drive toward the construction and expansion of a major road interchanges and flyover bridge in Akure, the state capital.
According to development updates, the initiative is aimed at reducing traffic congestion in the state capital, improving urban mobility and road safety and enhancing commercial activity and investment flow.
Hon. Olanusi (#IseOluwa) described the project as “a landmark intervention that reflects a government thinking ahead of urban growth and population pressure.”
The recent appointment and swearing-in of a new Head of Service, Segun Odusanya, was also highlighted as a strategic step toward deepening administrative efficiency and civil service reform, as the Governor emphasized professionalism, discipline, and performance driven governance within the public service, a move widely interpreted as part of broader institutional renewal.
Hon. Olanusi (#IseOluwa) applauded the decision, stating that: “A strong civil service remains the engine room of development, and this appointment reinforces confidence in governance delivery.”
On the Revival of Olokola Free Trade Zone and Deep Seaport Economic Drive, the administration has also intensified discussions and policy engagement around the Olokola Free Trade Zone (OKFTZ) and the broader deep seaport and industrial corridor development agenda in Ondo State.
Recent engagements have included renewed private sector interest, with major industrial stakeholders, including the Dangote Group led by Africa’s foremost industrialist, Aliko Dangote, previously expressing interest in investment opportunities within the corridor.
An initiative which is expected to position Ondo State as a major industrial and export hub, attract foreign and local direct investment, create thousands of jobs for youths and skilled workers and boost maritime and logistics development in the coastal region
Hon. Olanusi (#IseOluwa) described the development as “a game changing economic opportunity that will redefine Ondo’s future prosperity if fully realized.”
Reaffirming his political commitment, Hon. Niran Olanusi pledged to align closely with the state government’s development agenda when elected, ensuring that Akoko Southwest II, is fully integrated into ongoing state led transformation programs.
“Our constituency must not be left behind in this wave of development. With strong legislative partnership and synergy with the executive, we will attract more infrastructure, youth empowerment, and economic opportunities to Akoko Southwest II.” He added.
Hon. Olanusi further urged constituents to remain optimistic, noting that the current trajectory of governance in Ondo State presents a renewed opportunity for inclusive development, especially when supported by effective representation at the state assembly level.
He reaffirmed his readiness to serve as a strong bridge between the people of Akoko Southwest II and the state government in advancing shared prosperity.
