Ondo State Lawmaker, AKONI. Akinsuroju Akindolani Nelson, Member of the Ondo State House of Assembly representing Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo Constituency, has condemned in strong terms the recent abduction of school children and teachers in Oyo State.

Describing the act as “baric, heartless, and an attack on the future of our nation,” the lawmaker said no society can claim progress while its children are taken from classrooms at gunpoint.
“Our children and teachers represent hope, knowledge, and the future. To target them is to target Nigeria’s tomorrow. My heart goes out to the families in Oyo State who are living in pain and fear,” AKONI. Akinsuroju stated.
The lawmaker expressed solidarity with the people and government of Oyo State, and reaffirmed the commitment of the All Progressives Congress, APC Government, to the protection of lives and property as a cardinal responsibility of government.
He commended security agencies for their swift response and urged them not to relent until every child and teacher is rescued unharmed and the perpetrators brought to justice.
“While we mourn this tragedy, we must not lose hope. Our unity as a people and the resolve of our government will defeat these agents of darkness. I stand firmly with the victims, their families, the Oyo State Government, and all Nigerians of goodwill in demanding their immediate release,” he added.
AKONI. Akinsuroju called on citizens to remain vigilant, support security operations with credible information, and continue to pray for peace and safety across our schools and communities.
