REJECTED & RUDDERLESS! — Femi Fani-Kayode Tears Into African Democratic Congress in Savage Outburst

A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has launched a scathing attack on the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing the party as rejected and incapable of mounting a viable political challenge.

In a post shared on his verified Facebook account, Fani-Kayode criticised the party in strong terms, alleging that it lacks cohesion, credibility, and the structural capacity required to function effectively as an opposition platform.

The former minister claimed that recent developments involving the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and court rulings have left the party weakened, asserting that it no longer has a functional platform to contest future elections.

He further argued that the ADC has been “rejected” by multiple stakeholders, including regulatory institutions and the electorate, while accusing its members of internal disunity and poor organisation.

Fani-Kayode also took aim at prominent political commentators such as Reno Omokri, suggesting that the party has more pressing internal challenges to address than engaging critics.

According to him, the ADC should redirect its efforts toward rebuilding and forming a more cohesive opposition structure ahead of the 2031 general elections, rather than positioning itself for 2027.

The post, which has since generated reactions across social media, reflects ongoing tensions within Nigeria’s political landscape as opposition parties continue to reorganise in the lead up, to future electoral cycles.

Political observers note that internal crises, legal disputes, and leadership struggles have affected several opposition parties in recent times, raising questions about their readiness to challenge dominant political forces in upcoming elections.

As of the time of filing this report, the leadership of the African Democratic Congress has not issued an official response to the remarks.
