JUST IN: Ayedatiwa’s Aides, Razaq Obe, Gbenga Omole, Two Others Resigns

Some appointees and political office holders in the Ondo state under Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa have tendered their resignation letters ahead of the APC primaries for the 2027 general election.

This is in line with the INEC election guidelines.

Those whose resignation has been confirmed are; Hon Gbenga Omole, the Special Adviser on Transport; Hon Fadairo Oluwafemi, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Community Engagement (Central); and Dr Olusegun Victor Ategbole, Chairman of the Ondo State Hospital Management Board (HMB) have all resigned their appointments and tendered in their resignation letter to the office of the SSG.

SUNSHINE TRUTH NEWS gathered that the tendered their letters through the office of the Secretary to the State Government, Taiwo Fasoranti.

Also, Engr Razaq Obe, the Director General of the Performance and Project Implementation Monitoring Unit (PPIMU) has also resigned.

Obe, Ategbole, Fadairo are contesting House of Representatives seats in Ifedore/Idanre; Akoko Southeast/Southwest and Akure South/North Federal constituencies, while Omole is running to return the State House of Assembly for Akoko Southwest constituency.

The Secretary to Akure South Local Government, Hon. Adeola Rosemary Fynch also officially resigned from her position, effectively from March 20, 2026, bringing her tenure in the council’s administrative leadership to a close.

She had already declared her intention to contest the 2027 State House of Assembly election on the APC platform to represent Akure South constituency 1.

There will be more appointees who will still resign, according to a reliable source.
