“You Haven’t Seen Tinubu’s Best Yet” — Akpabio Tells Nigerians

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has said that Nigerians have not yet witnessed the full impact of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership, despite ongoing reforms and achievements under the current administration.

Speaking at the 8th National Convention of the All Progressives Congress in Abuja, Akpabio commended the president’s vision and resilience, noting that while many leaders possess sight, only a few demonstrate the foresight required to transform a nation.

He acknowledged that the country is navigating economic challenges but maintained that the administration’s policies are already repositioning Nigeria for growth and restoring its global standing.

Akpabio highlighted key reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidy and the unification of exchange rates, as well as strides in education, infrastructure development, and ongoing major projects such as rail expansion and coastal road construction.

He further assured the president of the full support of the National Assembly, stressing that alignment between the legislature and the executive is vital for sustained progress.

Also speaking, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, described the administration’s reforms as necessary decisions aimed at correcting long-standing economic imbalances.

Abbas said the government deliberately chose a path of reform over short-term comfort, acknowledging the current economic realities but insisting they are part of a broader effort to secure Nigeria’s future.

He called for continuity in both the executive and legislative arms of government, arguing that sustained leadership is essential to fully realize the benefits of ongoing reforms.

Both leaders reiterated the government’s commitment to economic recovery, institutional stability, and national development, urging Nigerians to remain patient as reforms take root.
