Hon. Tomisin Edu Falade has urged Muslims to imbibe and sustain a culture of peace as they celebrate the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a goodwill message issued to mark the end of the fasting period, Tomisin congratulated Muslim faithful across Nigeria for their dedication, discipline, and spiritual devotion demonstrated throughout the month.
She described Ramadan as a sacred period of reflection, sacrifice, and renewed commitment to values that promote harmony and coexistence.
“Ramadan is not just about abstaining from food and drink; it is a time to purify the soul, strengthen faith, and deepen our sense of compassion for others,” she said.
The House of Representatives hopeful stressed that the virtues cultivated during Ramadan—such as patience, humility, and generosity, should not be abandoned after the fasting period but should remain a guiding principle in daily life.
She called on Muslims to continue fostering peace, unity, and understanding within their communities and beyond.
“At a time when our nation seeks greater unity and stability, the culture of peace remains essential. I urge all Muslim faithful to carry forward the lessons of Ramadan by promoting tolerance, love, and mutual respect among all citizens,” Tomisin added.
She also encouraged the faithful to use the Eid celebration as an opportunity to strengthen communal bonds and extend acts of kindness, particularly to the less privileged and vulnerable members of society.
Tomisin noted that collective commitment to peace and unity would play a crucial role in addressing societal challenges and advancing national development.
She concluded by wishing Muslims a joyful Eid celebration, praying that the blessings of Ramadan bring lasting peace, prosperity, and guidance to all.
