One of the frontline contenders at the just concluded party congress of the All Progressives Congress and Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Smart Omodunbi Jnr, has congratulated the new executives the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, as one party that commands “respect and confidence.”
In a statement made available to newsmen shortly after the declaration of the congress and the party’s consensus tradition, Omodunbi said the congress reflects the collective will of the party’s stakeholders and members across the state, adding that it marks a significant step towards strengthening internal cohesion within the party.
Omodunbi extended his congratulations to all the new executive members at the state, local government, and ward levels. He noted that their emergence signals a fresh chapter for the APC in Ondo State, one that must be driven by inclusiveness, loyalty to party principles, and a shared commitment to sustainable growth.
“The outcome of this congress should inspire greater collaboration among leaders and members. It is a call to close ranks and work collectively for the advancement of our great party and the development of Ondo State,” he stated.
Reaffirming his loyalty to the party and its leadership by the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, Omodunbi urged all aspirants and their supporters to remain steadfast, emphasizing that the strength of the APC lies in its unity and ability to harmonize diverse interests for the common good of the people and the state.
He expressed optimism that under the new APC Executive, the party would consolidate on its achievements, deepen internal democracy, and position itself strategically for future political engagements in the state.
The Ondo APC congress, which drew participation from party faithful across the state, is widely seen as a defining moment in the party’s ongoing efforts to reinforce its structure and prepare for forthcoming political activities, especially for the upcoming 2027 elections in favour of our National Leader, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
