Aiyedatiwa’s Developmental Strides Have Transformed Akure South – Fasua

The Chairman of Gbenga Fasua has commended the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for what he described as “remarkable developmental strides” across the council area, particularly in road infrastructure and healthcare delivery.

Fasua gave the commendation during the commissioning of several projects in Akure South Local Government to mark the governor’s one year anniversary in office.

Speaking at the event held in Akure, the council chairman said the governor’s administration had significantly improved the living conditions of residents through strategic investments in critical sectors.

According to him, the ongoing road construction and rehabilitation projects have enhanced connectivity within communities, eased transportation challenges, and boosted commercial activities in the area.

“Within just one year in office, the governor has demonstrated purposeful leadership. The road networks being constructed and rehabilitated have opened up our communities, reduced travel time, and stimulated local businesses,” Fasua stated.

He also highlighted improvements in the health sector, noting that upgrades to primary healthcare centres, provision of modern medical equipment, and recruitment of health personnel have strengthened grassroots healthcare delivery.

“Our people now have better access to quality healthcare services. This administration’s commitment to revitalizing our health facilities is evident for all to see,” he added.

Fasua further noted that the infrastructural transformation under Aiyedatiwa’s leadership has positioned the local government as an emerging investment hub, attracting interest from foreign investors.

“With improved infrastructure, enhanced security, and business-friendly policies, Akure South is fast becoming a preferred destination for investors.
The governor has laid a solid foundation for sustainable economic growth,” he said.

He assured residents of the local government’s continued support for the state government’s policies and programmes, emphasizing that collaboration between state and local authorities remains key to achieving broader development goals.

The project commissioning formed part of activities lined up to celebrate the governor’s first anniversary, drawing political leaders, traditional rulers, community stakeholders, and residents who gathered to witness the unveiling of the completed projects.
